I am disappointed that the bag can not be left to stand upright and yet it is a trolley back back.

We apologize for the inconvenience Mr.Sage. Unfortunately, the building mechanism of the Trolley Backpack is what is contributing to the issue. The bag has two wheels which would allow it to stand upright when supported. If it had four wheels, it would be able to stand alone without any support.
